鸽子在*常的时候脾气是非常好的、非常友善，并且很爱护它们的同伴;但是对待入侵、捣乱鸽棚的敌人，它们就会火冒三丈、一点儿也不好惹，特别是鸽子们的首领“大头”。有一次，一只不知好歹的“小偷”(老鼠)闯进了鸽棚，想偷吃食物。正好被“大头”看见了，它马上来了个俯冲，用爪子爪了“小偷”一下，轻轻地降落在“小偷”旁边，还没等刚刚受惊的“小偷”反映过来，“大头”以雷霆万钧的速度，用整齐、有力的翅膀狠狠地打了“小偷”几个耳光，受了伤的“小偷”狼狈地夺路而逃了。
